The Woodford Y-Series (Iowa) yard hydrant features a flow-finder and lock that can be set to automatically obtain the same flow each time the hydrant is opened, or it can be set to lock against accidental opening. It uses long-life graphite packings and a variable flow plunger that automatically opens the drain to prevent freezing.
Like all Woodford Y-Series hydrants, all repairs can be made from the top of the unit without having to remove the hydrant from the ground.
